  My old congregation is being shuttered

  i just found out from my jehovah's witness cousin that my old congregation is being shuttered due to lack of elders, less than 20 members attending, and that the congregation cannot meet their monthly expenses.. here is a congregation that was started in 1975 with less than 15 members.

  it grew to 185 members in the 1990's.

  the congregation grew so large that the elders decided to split the congregation in two.

  many of the deletions in the usa appear to be foreign language groups.

  It can be particularly devastating to "wake - up"",, so to speak.

  Here's where the "sunk cost"" fallacy kicks-in. Especially after not having children,,forgoing marriages/relationships,,,education or loss of friends or family from a deadly blood policy.

  That's when waking-up can be dangerous.

  People have to want to ""wake"" on their own. After sacrificing life/education for a "false prophet"

  The internet is the great 'equalizer'

  Foolednomore,,,they were saying this on the six screens recently.

  Information is bubbling up,,like bubbles in quicksand or something, Information is power, ,knowledge.

  Like I was saying on another thread. The Borg is pooched.

  The last 20 years has been a nightmare for the Borg. The information is out, there is nothing the Borg can do. They are screwed.

  The typical JW is so oblivious to reality they're in a 'stupor'.

  They were saying on the six screens, a few weeks ago. It can be 'dangerous' in way to wake-up someone who is in trance or sleepwalking, It can be more harm than good. They can go off the deep-end.

  No. People who are 'destined' to wake-up,, wake-up. 'Waking-up' is what people have to do on their own. You can't convince them yourself. All one can do is present the facts plain and simple, let them see it. If they wake-up...it's usually them doing it themselves.. All someone can do is show them. It's them actually snapping-out of it so to speak.
